What! What! What just happened? Adwait panics seeing Devisha run from there. He pulls his hair in frustration about what he just did.

He too runs downstairs, and the sight in front of him actually makes his heart ache. Devisha is on her knees, crying and screaming upon seeing Vansh in such a condition.

He goes near Devisha and kneels down, trying to provide her some comfort, but Devisha jerks away from him.

Then the ambulance pulls up at the venue and carries Vansh on the stretcher.

Vansh is in the operation theater getting treated by the doctors.

Mr. and Mrs. Ahuja are standing there, looking like living corpses, seeing their son fight for his life in the OT.

Devisha stands there, not knowing what to do. She has not informed anyone that it was Adwait who did this to her dear brother because she first wants to know what secret both her lover and brother are hiding from her.

Deciding she needs to clarify what had happened, she goes to where Adwait is standing, wearing an expression of guilt and sadness.

Seeing Devisha approach, Adwait's face lights up for a second, but realizing what he did, it sinks back into sadness.

"Adwait," Devisha calls out once near him.

"De-" Adwait starts, only to get cut off by Devisha.

"Maine sab dekha tum dono lad rahe the aur tumne bhaiya ko dhakka diya." Devisha's voice cracks a little and takes a sadder tone.

("I saw everything; you both were fighting and you pushed my brother.")

"Devisha tum-" Adwait starts but then realizes that he has nothing to prove his innocence.
("Devisha, you-")

"Kya hai jo tum aur bhaiya mujh se chhupa rahe ho? Ab mat kehna aisa kuch nahi hai, bhaiya ka aisa extreme reaction tumhe dekh ke, uske baad achanak se shaadi ke liye maan jaana, phir tum dono ka ek dusre se aise dushmanon ki tarah ladna, ye sab bas aise hi toh nahi ho sakta. Ho sakta hai kya?" Devisha questions.

(What is it that you and bhaiya are hiding from me? Don't say that nothing is happening; seeing bhaiya's extreme reaction after meetting you, suddenly agreeing to the marriage, and then you both fighting like enemies, it can't just happen like that. Can it?")

"Devi, mujhe nahi pata tum kya kehna chahti ho," Adwait stammers, trying not to look directly in Devisha's eyes.
("Devi, I don't know what you want to say,")

"Adwait, tumhe achhe se pata hai mai kya kehna chahti ho. Tumhare aur bhaiya ke beech ye dushmani kyun hai, aur jo tumne aaj kiya woh toh koi choti si baat par nahi karega. Shukar manao ki maine ye baat kisi ko nahi batayi, par agar tum mujhe sach nahi bataoge, toh I won't hesitate before revealing it," Devisha warned.
("Adwait, you know very well what I want to say. Why is there enmity between you and bhaiya? And what you did today, no one does that over a small matter. Be thankful I haven't told anyone, but if you don't tell me the truth, I won't hesitate to reveal it.")

"Devisha, ye baat abhi karni jaruri nahi hai. Bhaiya filhaal operation theater mein hai, hum baad mein bhi baat kar sakte hai," Adwait tries to escape because he has nothing to say currently.
("Devisha, it's not necessary to talk about this right now. Bhaiya is in the operation theater; we can talk later.")

Devisha, worried for her brother, agrees reluctantly but not before giving him a look that says, "I won't tolerate lies, so better say the truth."

Just then, the door of the OT opens, and a doctor comes out.

"Mr. Ahuja ka blood loss bahut zyada hua hai aur unka blood group AB- hai. Ye blood group itni aasani se nahi milta, aur agar Mr. Ahuja ko jaldi se blood nahi chadhaya, toh dikkat ho sakti hai. Aap please 30 minute ke andar khoon ka intezam kar dijiye," the doctor says, his voice controlled and professional with a hint of seriousness and urgency about the situation.
("Mr. Ahuja has lost a lot of blood and his blood group is AB-. This blood group is not easily available, and if Mr. Ahuja doesn't get blood soon, there could be problems. Please arrange for the blood within 30 minutes,")

"AB- ye blood group toh Adwait ka hai," Devisha says immediately as the doctor finishes.
("AB- this blood group is Adwait's,")

"Adwait, please tum Vansh ko blood donate kar do. Please, mere bete ko bahut zarurat hai," Devisha's mom pleads, joining her hands in front of Adwait.("Adwait, please donate blood to Vansh. Please, my son needs it desperately,")

Adwait now feels really guilty about what he did to Vansh since the beginning till now and thinks this way he could find a little forgiveness from Vansh or at least his guilt will subside a little.

Adwait nods his head and speaks,
"Arre mummy, aap mere saamne aise haath kyun jod rahi hain? Please, aise aap mujhe sharminda kar rahi hain."
("mom, why are you joining your hands in front of me like this? Please, you're embarrassing me.")

Adwait then goes into the OT along with the doctor and donates his blood.

It's been 3 hours since the operation was successful, but Vansh slipped into a coma. Doctors said he can come out of it; he just needs willpower and hope for life, which seems to be dead in him. All the family members have left, leaving only Devisha to stay at the hospital.

Devisha:

I enter inside my brother's room. He was there, lying on the bed unconscious. The doctors said that he had slipped into a coma and probably needs a reason and hope to live.

"Sorry," my words come out as a whisper, barely audible because of the sounds of machinery around.

"Mujhe teri baat maan leni chahiye thi toh shayad aaj teri yeh halat nahi hoti. I am so sorry," Devisha says, her eyes filled with unshed tears.

("I should have listened to you, then maybe today you wouldn't be in this condition. I am so sorry,")

"Plz jaldi thik ho ja, mujhe bata kya hua hai. Tu aisa kyun ho gaya hai? Kyun plz bolna bhaiya, plz. I can't see you trying so hard to appear happy when you are not. Mujhe bolna kya hua tere sath 5 saal pehle jo mera acha aur hasta khelta bhai mar gaya aur ek bejaan insaan ban gaya. Bol na uth ja, plz, plz uth ja." I was not able to hold back anymore, and I burst out into tears, hugging bhaiya carefully out to hurt him but tightly enough to feel protected.

("Please get well soon, tell me what happened to you. Why have you been like this? Please, bhaiya, plz. I can't see you trying so hard to appear happy when you are not. Tell me what happened to you 5 years ago when my good and joyful brother died and became a lifeless)

It's been 4 months since Vansh has been in a coma. Devisha is not at all talking to Adwait. She is very clear that she will talk to him only after knowing the secret between Vansh and Adwait. She is 100% sure that Adwait has lied to her about not meeting Vansh before, and she wants to know why.

Vansh's condition is improving. He has recovered all his external wounds but has not yet gained consciousness. Doctors have said he can gain consciousness anytime or never and have asked the family members to talk to him daily because that would help him regain consciousness.

Devisha:

I am sitting in Vansh bhaiya's room, talking to him like daily, giving him the details of my day. Then suddenly, My mind drifts to the photo frame bhaiya sees while crying during nights sometimes. I search a little in the drawers of his room and find a photo frame of him hugging Sakshi.

Sakshi??

Were they in a relationship? But when I haven't heard or even seen Sakshi since the last 5 years! Before that, I used to see her at least at friends' get-togethers or either on social media, but now I don't know where she is.

Wait a second! Bhaiya has been so sad these years, Sakshi is missing, and this photo frame proves they were in a relationship.

I need to find her, but what will I say to her after so many years of cutting her down? I even miss her a lot. She tried to talk to me after that incident, but I always ignored her like I never knew her. Now I really need to find her, but how will I do that?

The only name that is coming to my mind right now is Adwait. He can help me track Sakshi down, and if I find her somehow, maybe it can help improve bhaiya's condition. He can even gain consciousness.

Without a second thought, I dial Adwait.

He answers on the first ring.

Adwait: "Devi, finally tumne call kiya. Mai kitne tension mein tha, pta hai tumhe? Tum kaisi ho? Vansh ki tabiyat kaisi hai?"
("Devi, finally you called. Do you know how tense I was? How are you? How is Vansh's health?")

Devisha:"Mujhe tumhari madad chahiye."
("I need your help.")

Adwait:"Ha, kaho, kya kaam hai?" ("Yeah, tell me, what's the work?")

Devisha then explains to him about Sakshi and Vansh and asks him to find Sakshi anyhow.

Adwait:
"Ha thik hai, mai dhoondta hoon, aur tumhe shaam tak inform karta hoon. Lekin abhi, please mujhse baat toh kar lo thodi der."
("Okay, I will find her and inform you by evening. But right now, please talk to me for a while.")

Devisha:"Kaho, kya kehna hai tumhe?"
("Tell me, what do you want to say?")

Adwait:"I am sorry. I lied to you about never meeting Vansh before."

Devisha:"Let's not talk about it now. Sakshi ko dhoondhna zyada zaruri hai, filhaal please."
("Let's not talk about it now. Finding Sakshi is more important right now, please.")

Adwait:"Thik hai."
("Okay.")

They hang up the call.

Why is everything so messed up like this?

Devisha ko ab mai kya bolu ki tumhari ex-bestfriend aur tumhare bhai ki girlfriend coma mein hai, woh bhi kyunki maine Vansh aur uski car ka accident plan kiya tha, jis mein tumhara bhai bach gaya aur Sakshi ki body missing chali gayi, aur Vansh ko laga ki woh mar gayi, lekin woh jinda thi.
("What should I say to Devisha that your ex-best friend and your brother's girlfriend is in a coma, and that's because I planned an accident of Vansh and her, in which your brother survived and Sakshi's body went missing, and Vansh thought she was dead, but she was alive.")

I called the doctor who is treating Sakshi for years.

Adwait:"Hello."

Doctor:"Hello, Mr. Agarwal, aapke liye ek good news hai."
("Hello, Mr. Agarwal, I have good news for you.")

Adwait:"Kya?"
("What?")

Doctor:"Woh Miss Verma is gaining consciousness. Unhe kal subah tak hosh aa jayega."
("Miss Verma is gaining consciousness. She will regain consciousness by tomorrow morning.")

Adwait:"Doctor, that's great! Thank you so much."

He hangs up the call and immediately calls Devisha.

Devisha:"Hello."

Adwait:"Mujhe Sakshi ka pata chal gaya hai. Woh kal shaam tak tumhare ghar aa sakti hai."
("I found out about Sakshi. She can come to your house by tomorrow evening.")

Devisha:"Itni jaldi?"
("So soon?")

Adwait:"Ha, woh bas maine mere ek dost ko information nikaalne bola aur usne thodi hi der mein sab bata diya mujhe."
("Yeah, I just asked one of my friends to find out, and he told me everything in no time.")

Devisha:"Acha, woh kaisi hai aur kahan hai? Theek toh hai na?"
("Okay, how is she and where is she? Is she alright?")

Adwait:"Shant Devi, shant. Ye sab kal tum usse hi puch lena."

("Calm down, Devi. You can ask her all this tomorrow.")

Devisha:"Ha thik hai."
